THE COMP SERIES:

4 Points events, qual-then-tandem comp format, new 3-turn section of thunderhill used each event (including BACKWARDS), and the top points holders will receive qualification to Formula Drift's Pro-Am events! (we're working out the details on this as we speak, more news coming soon)

For Car/Driver Requirements, visit ThunderDrift.com or CLICK HERE

The first event will be held on Sunday February 7th, and will take place from turns 13-10 in a counter-course orientation (see map below)

Image

This course layout will be super fun, but also challenging. The esses approaching turn 11 are deceivingly fast, and turn 11 it's self is a considerable drop in elevation as you pass the apex point. We're expecting a manji in between 11/10 then turn 10 will be an all-out, banked, uphill 90 deg turn for the finish. It should prove to be perfect for some legendary tandem.

Entry is $160 per driver pre-registered. If you show up expecting to enter on comp-day, it's going to be $200, and remember folks if you miss the drivers meeting you absolutely do not drive.

There will be open practice on the competition course all morning (single and tandem), followed by lunch, then a brief comp-meeting and the competition will begin!

Judges = Colin Frost, Todd Ho, and TBA! ;)

We WILL have tire service, and the tire-machine WILL have a new plastic head by then. Prices are $10 dismount/mount and $5 dispose (unless we can take it for our tire-walls... ask us about it)

Saturday will be a full-track drift/grip day, $180 per driver, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Here's my little batch of pics from the event. Thanks to everyone who came! it was exciting for sure! Especially in the final round when Ryan Kado put his hachi on it's lid (the one in the flyer). Video's coming soon! See you folks at Round2 - Escape from Guantanamo!
